KT6600I and KTP6600I contactors

Description




KT6600I (AC contactors) and KTP6600I (DC contactors) electromagnetic AC contactors are open construction commutation devices with natural air cooling intended for general purpose designed for load currents from 100 up to 500A and AC voltage limited to 400V/50Hz. They are manufactured in two-, three- and four-polar unit types and five dimensions. Construction provides for an additional contact block for actuation and shutting down alarm and automation circuits.

These contactors are intended for applying in crane electrical equipment, electrical substations and industrial distribution units.

KT 6613I AC contactor was awarded gold medal of Electro-2007 Exhibition.

Advantages


  • Wide range including the whole series of rated currents from 100 up to 500A and supplemented with control coils of different voltage.
  • KT6600I and KTP6600I contactors can substitute local country contactors of 60 and 66 series local manufactures.
  • Functional auxiliary contact block design permits changing the type and number of supplementary contacts on a time-effective basis.
  • These contactors belong to energy saving equipment. It is achieved at the expense of the fact that the control coil is equipped with switching contacts and has two operation modes: tripping and hold ones. Thus, minimum necessary consumption power is attained.

Design Features


Auxiliary contact block design provides for evaluating the type and number of addition contacts on a time-effective basis. Non-rigid tongue-core connection of magnetic system predetermines that in case of actuation and being under effect of electromagnetic forces, the whole construction shall take an optimum position.
Possibility to adjust clearance and follow of power contacts in order to align an optimum operation mode. Using contemporary material at arc-extinguishing chambers manufacture provides for abandoning the use of fiber rock making an adverse impact to the human breathing system.
Flexible braiding-based junctions allow excluding wire breakages at the long-term exploitation in case of continuous displacement of contacts placed on the rail. Simplicity of extinguishing chamber cover construction ensures free access to the power contacts for their servicing.
Non-sliding contacts (a) are made of copper; moving contacts (b) are produced from silver compound providing for exceeded wear resistance and excluding contact burning.
