Residual current circuit switch VD1-63 type A is intended for electric shock hazard protection in case of eventual unintentional contact with conducting parts of electric installations in AC networks of 200/400 V, 50Hz. Residual current circuit switch VD1-63 type A without integrated overcurrent protection responds not only to sinusoidal alternating residual currents, but also to pulsating direct residual currents. The sources of such pulsating currents can be washing machines with variable-speed control, controlled lighting, TVs, video recorders, PCs etc. Residual current circuit switch VD1-63 type A meet GOST 50326 and GOST 50807 requirements as “functionally independent from the power source”. Residual current circuit switch VD1-63 type A is manufactured as 2- and 4-pole type items per rated currents of 16, 25, 32, 40, 50 and 63 A and rated breaking residual currents of 10, 30 and 100 mA. |

Advantages
- Residual current circuit switch VD1-63 type A is a solid jam-resistant electromechanical UZO capable of ensuring universal electric shock hazard protection in case of eventual unintentional contact with conducting parts of electric installations and preventing fires caused by earth current leakages.
- High electrical wear resistance: not less than 4000 powering cycles.
- Rated short circuit conventional current: 4500 A.
- Silver-bearing depositions on contacts.
- Wide range of rated currents (16, 25, 32, 40, 50 and 63 A) and rated breaking residual currents (10, 30 and 100 mA)
- Notches on terminal clamps provide for lowering thermal losses and boosting the mechanical stability of connection.
- Loads can be connected both to upper and lower clamps.
- Wide range of operating currents for in-services control device (from 110 to 265 V in 2-pole item and from 200 to 460 V in 4-pole one).
- Main contacts of 4-pole residual current circuit switch VD1-63 type A are designed in the way that the neutral pin is closed earlier and broken later that allows preventing electrical imbalance equivalent to a neutral conductor cut-off.
Design Features

Ergonomic “TEST” button for checking the device’s operation and accuracy of connection. Rated short circuit current of 4500 A provides for sustaining higher overcurrents than the preceding residual current circuit switch series. | ![]() |
Boosted range of operating temperatures from –25 to +40° Ñ contributes to applying this switch in different climatic zones. |
![]() |
Free of internal consumption. Preserves working capacity even after a neutral conductor cut-off. | ![]() |
Main circuit status indicator provides exact information on the contacts status independently from lever position. |
